Expanding Access to High-Quality Pre-K
Pre-K Partnerships is a collaboration between Austin Independent School District and United Way for Greater Austin to support and expand access to high-quality full-day pre-K for children ages 3 and 4 in our community.
We partner with child development centers that are 3- and 4-star Texas Rising Star certified to deliver high-quality pre-K and provide centers with resources to help improve and sustain quality services for children. This support includes professional development and recruitment and co-enrollment of children – at both the center and in Austin ISD – to facilitate a smooth transition into Kindergarten on an Austin ISD campus.
Here are some of the benefits this collaboration offers for your child:
Low teacher-child ratios in the classroom
Co-enrollment at the center and AISD
Highly qualified teachers and curriculum
Optional full-day care
Here’s how you can enroll your child in one of these high-quality Pre-K Partnerships centers:
Step 1:

Step 2:
Click the location dot to get their contact information

If you have any questions while enrolling your child, please contact Madison Mattise at Madison.Mattise@uwatx.org.
Success in life begins with a quality education, but more than 50% of children in Travis County are not ready for Kindergarten. That’s why this partnership ensures children get a strong start in life and are ready to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. Our youngest years are the most active period for brain development, a crucial time to lay a firm foundation for all future growth. What happens in these early years has a lasting impact from Kindergarten readiness to third-grade reading scores to high school graduation and beyond.
