Kristin Marcum is the owner and CEO of ECPR Texas, a civic impact communications firm where advocacy meets action and trust meets strategy. In her leadership role, Kristin guides the firm’s work helping organizations navigate complex public conversations, build credibility with stakeholders and create meaningful change across Texas communities.

For more than two decades, Kristin has worked at the intersection of media, business and civic leadership. She acquired ECPR in 2022 with a vision to expand its role as a trusted strategic partner for organizations seeking to show up clearly and confidently when it matters most, whether advancing community initiatives, managing crises, or shaping narratives that influence public policy and public perception.

Under her leadership, ECPR partners with corporations, nonprofits, public institutions and professional associations to strengthen reputations, guide public dialogue and support initiatives that improve communities across Texas. The firm specializes in strategic communications, media relations, coalition building, event management and content creation.

Kristin is deeply engaged in Austin’s civic life and serves on numerous boards and advisory groups focused on economic mobility, housing and community development. She currently serves as vice chair of membership for the Austin Chamber of Commerce, board chair of United Way for Greater Austin and is a member of the board for Austin Habitat for Humanity and the Headliner’s Club.

A longtime Austin resident, Kristin believes strong communities are built through collaboration, clear communication and leaders willing to engage thoughtfully in shaping the future.
